Original design & hand-painted craftsmanship

Purple Jelly combines a vivid translucent body with citrus fruit, garden foliage and playful character artwork. White faces keep the illustrations crisp, while glossy purple backs bring a rich jelly-like depth to the table.

Each decorated face is engraved, then filled with paint by hand. Recessed outlines give the artwork definition and depth, while hand-applied color brings out small contrasting details. Slight variations in paint filling are part of the hand-finished character of MAHORA’s original designs.

Layered color & back design

Three-layer acrylic brings together the light playing face, a contrasting side band and the transparent purple body. The reverse focuses on clear color rather than a printed back pattern, allowing light to change its appearance from brighter violet to deeper purple. The visible separation between layers gives the sides a clean, graphic profile.

Artwork across the set

Lemons and oranges create a sunlit numbered family; leafy fruiting branches and a perched bird develop another. Blue-and-yellow geometric rosettes give the character suit a decorative twist. Botanical flowers, small boats, flowing wind letters and whimsical animal Jokers extend the collection beyond the citrus theme.

The purple reverse provides a strong counterpoint to yellow fruit, dark green leaves and navy details. These contrasts make the artwork lively while keeping the whole set coordinated.
